Activities

Activities are planned around the children taking into account their age and stages of development, their individual interests, the seasons and  celebrations.  I have a wide range of toys and equipment to cater for all children and their needs. Children of all ages will learn something from all activities. They will all learn something different according to their age. Where one child might learn to throw or catch another child may just learn how to share and play with others. All the activities can be changed to accommodate most ages of the children, some things might still be too old for a younger child but can be left until that child is taking a nap or when that child isn't there. As well as activities mentioned below there are loads of learning opportunities in everyday things we do like laying a table for dinner, how many spoons/forks do we need, who uses what ie spoons ,fork. Washing hands before and after food and going to the toilet and why its important to do so. Even walking to school or shops we can see things o help us learn. What colour must the crossing lights be, what shapes can we find, how many of a certain coloured car. When at shops what do we need, how many apples etc.  Below is a few of the activities we do and some of the toys i have.
